Nigeria: State Governments Impose 24 Hour Curfew On Citizens

As protests against fuel subsidy removal in the country enters day 3, some state governments in Nigeria have imposed a 24 hour curfew on their citizens, following several unrests in some states in Nigeria.

States were curfews have been imposed are: Kaduna State, Niger State. More states are also expected to impose curfews due to fear of insecurity and violence.

Edo State is expected to impose a curfew, following yesterday’s attack on an Islamic community, which left more than a dozen dead according to reports and a Mosque burnt by some youths in the state.
