Local Immigrations Service spokesman, Mohammed Kanoma says no less than three officials were killed, with an unknown number of civilians in an attack at the post office.
Meanwhile, another witness said he saw the bodies of three police men, along side a local reporter after a bomb went off at a regional police headquarters.
The radical Islamic group, Boko Haram have claimed responsibility.
