Talk Of Nigeria: Inefficiency Of JAMB In Releasing Results!

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) have showed their incompetence in releasing the 2012 UTME results to candidates.
Last Saturday, 1.5m candidates wrote the UTME examination across Nigeria, as well as six other countries. One week later, the exam body is finding it very hard to control their official website JAMB.ORG.NG, due to high traffic generated by candidates trying to check their results, to the extent that they took it (the site) offline. JAMB knows that the number of candidates this year is higher than the previous years! Should’nt they have made some maintenance, corrected every error and taken care of all loose ends, before announcing the release results?!
Candidates are becoming gradually impatient, mentally imbalance, anxiously and nervously waiting to see their score and prepare for what to do next.
Moreover, another development that aggravates more tension among candidates — is the the announcement of the number of students that either scored below 180, had their results withheld or their centres were confirmed to have encouraged “mass-cheating”. They probably will be going suicidal, waiting for a new development!
All these, are reasons why JAMB must re-organise themselves, to check their inefficiency or incompetence to conduct a hitch-free examination and release of results.
However, reliable sources say JAMB are trying to create a new website, mainly for the checking of results (something they should have done long ago). When that happens we’ll be sure to let you know.
And when the results finally get out, candidates get ready, it is the beginning of the “Admission Season”!
Goodluck to all JAMBITES!
