The Nigerian House of Representatives has suspended Hon. Farouk Lawan, PDP Kano, from the house committee investigating the fuel subsidy scam and the house committee on education.
His suspension follows allegations of bribery and corruption levelled against Hon. Farouk and the deputy chairman of the ad-hoc committee by the chairman of Zenon oil and gas, Mr. Femi Otedola, earlier this month.
In another development, Hon. Samson Osagie, representing Oredo in Edo State, introduced a motion of amendment, declaring a vote of confidence on the leadership of the house. It was supported by all members in attendance.
