Talk Of Nigeria: University Student Jailed For 20 Years “Thanks” To Internet Scam!

A 25-year old UNI-ILORIN student, Imonina Kingsley, has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment, by a Federal High Court in Kaduna. He was sentenced on “four counts of impersonation, possessing of fraudlent documents and an attempt to obtain money under false pretence”.
He is expected to spend five years in prison for each offence.
Kingsley was arrested on April 4 2008, during a special operation code-name, “Operation Cyber-Storm 1”, by the EFCC at a cyber cafe on Pipeline road, Tanke, Ilorin in Kwara State.
He was said to have used the false identity of one Mr. Thomas Duke, a supposed gay, with an email as “thomasduke4luv@yahoo.com”, to send fraudlent mails, with intent to defraud unsuspecting victims.
